Today at my day job, I saw a late fall arrival of women's handbags, small leather goods, winter wear, & footwear. Of the four, footwear was my favorite. I believe the most creativity and risks come through footwear whereas the other three categories all share similar characteristics to other competing brands. Footwear is where the true shakers and game changers come through. The styles of shoes that caught my most attention today were the full 3m reflective women's wingtip oxfords.
After a long effort to get the 3M reflective material on their shoes, brands like Cole Haan have slowly rolled it out in their product lines.

3M, to start off with is formally known as the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company. 3M products are available at distributors and retailers in 200+ countries and online. It was originally a company started as a mining business but it quickly failed at producing profitable findings. After a struggling beginning, which included mastering the art of sandpaper production, the founders established their first product: a Three-M-ite cloth. Aside from Levi's and Nike their has been a number of apparel and footwear brands that have used the company's ever popular reflective materials. It's main purpose: safety and its ability to shine bright upon light. This can make a pair of jeans safer for commuters and travelers abroad. A secondary benefit of the 3m reflective material is it's uniqueness on apparel and footwear. It has become somewhat a fashion statement when seen on one's outfit.
